What’s Your Favorite Christmas Memory?

We thought since Christmas is this week, it would be a great time to share some of your Christmas stories .  Please feel free to share some of your stories with us we would love to hear some.

Christmas is a nostalgic time of year when the smell of buttery cookies, the twinkling of Christmas lights, and the good cheer and warmth of spirit in the atmosphere help us rekindle our own Christmas memories.  When we recall Christmas past, we usually find that the simplest things give off the greatest glow of happiness.

Here is a Christmas memory from one of our Office Staff:

I have a funny Christmas story of when I was about 8 or 9 years old.  My Brother and I had a habit of trying to see what we were going to receive for Christmas before Christmas, and so we would shake our presents (Yes I know Horrible).  That year I shook my gifts and felt it was something solid.  I had no idea with it could be.  I began to ask my mother for clues over and over again.  Finally she gave in and said the item started with a “P”  I burst into tears, crying out lout “you bought me a pot.”   My Mother just laughed so hard.  I was so upset I went on and on about it.

When I was finally able to open gifts my Mother handed me the “P” gift.  Of course I did not want to open it, I already knew what it was and I did  not care for it ( I know spoiled brat)  My Mother made me open it first and it was not a pot as I assumed, but a baking pan.  I had just gotten into baking and so she wanted me to have my first baking set.  I Loved it.  My Mother just laughed and made this big stink about her buying a pot for Christmas and at the end I loved it.  I never sneaked to see what my gifts were ever again.   (Janice Soto)
